Birds are the wellness indicators of any ecosystem, but due to rapid urbanization and resulting woodlands destruction Birds of diverse species are rapidly losing their natural habitat and facing terrible crisis for food. In such a context, to raise public awareness on the significance of conservation of bird’s habitat and ensuring the survival of Birds amidst our everyday lives, POJF organizes and celebrates the Bird Fair. POJF also participates in the annual ‘Bird Fair’ celebrated at the premises of Jahangirnagar University Campus each year to promote interest and build public awareness on the conservation of vast Bird species of Bangladesh.
Celebrating the importance of the migratory birds in maintaining natural balance of our ecosystem POJF also organizes a special Rally, on National Migratory Bird Day and celebrates the World Migratory Bird Festival in participation with North South University. To address the conservation of avifauna, POJF also participates in ‘Bird & Turtle Fair’ in association with IUCN Bangladesh, Bangladesh Bird Club and CARINAM at TSC, University of Dhaka.
