In 2016, Ex-Chief Conservator of Forests, and former Country Representative of IUCN Bangladesh, Mr. Ishtiaq Uddin Ahmad was awarded the Nature Conservation Award for his exceptional contribution for conservation of biodiversity and nature of Bangladesh as a Forestry Expert. He has an active role in different govt. and non govt. policy making forums for the development of forests and forest ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, climate change and natural resources management and related issues.
